disappearance of loy evitts

Abducted from a parking garage during her lunch break. Loy Evitts disappeared from a Kansas City parking garage on March 14, 1978. She has never been found. 

Cheri Barnes, 2 years old, was last seen on January 7, 1987, in Kansas City, Missouri. Less than a month later, the body of her mother, Elizabeth Turek-- who went by Sissy, was discovered in St. Louis, Missouri lying in the Mississippi River. It took 7 years for Sissy's remains to be identified and for police to open a missing person's case on Cheri. 

UPDATE: Skylar Ware's remains were identified on August 26, 2023.

Skylar Ware's family and friends haven't seen or heard from him since May 12, 2020. He was last known to be in the Blue Springs, Missouri area with a man named Chris. Skylar was possibly shot and killed during a drug deal/robbery gone bad. 

Missing person Julia Stoddard was last seen on December 27, 1983.  Julia has been missing for 40 years.  Foul play is suspected in her disappearance. 

In 1990, Richard Grissom was convicted of the murders of Joan Butler, Christine Rusch, and Theresa Brown. Their bodies have never been found and they are listed as missing persons on national databases.  

Tabitha Brewer and Nick Travis were last seen on April 27, 1998, in Shawnee, Kansas.  Four months later, Nick's body was found in the backyard of a duplex in Kansas City, Missouri.  In 2009, Brandon Howell was found non-guilty of Nick and Tabitha's murder.  Tabitha's body has yet to be found. 

Lisa Irwin, 10 months old, disappeared from her crib in her parents Kansas City home during the overnight hours on October 3, 2011. Her case remains unsolved.
